Ok now the thread has split into several discussions I personally feel maybe a mod could split into the add discussion and the other about the incident.Norcott wrote:ok well i see alot of discussion about not wanting to get added on and 1v1 fights be left alone and grp fights been left alone.. but what about the flip side.. what about the people who want to be added on to ensure they actually stay alive in the war zone rather than constantly gettin farmed by some higher RR// wheres the fun in that..
rules and agreements are just fine but.. that also alienates the solo guys who pehaps need help out in the frontier but dont have many friends to grp with what about them.. what about the small random grp thats running about to have some fun getting constantly farmed by some high experienced RR GG whos out everynight.. soon log off cus theve had enough.. fed up with being farmed RvR and fed up with PvE cus thats all theve got.. (subs canceled) simple as..
theres no way you could get guilds to aggree to a In game community RvR COC.. you just couldnt get people to agree to it.. Im a Gm of HDS I go out on my stealther and go out in a random grp with my bainshee.. I could agree to it but doesnt mean im going to stk to it.. whos gunna stop me.. im the gm ..
point making is this game covers a wide a varied field of players and play styles thus a Realm V's Realm V's Realm game. It has to cater for all play styles and learnt to live with the fact that RP guilds will play the way they want to.. solo peeps will play to how they want to and sometimes its the only way to (add) to get anywhere.. also fg will roam and own as they want to..
its just selfish and the people whining about not getting added on are the ones to blame for destroying the realm community out on the field..
Apart from this Lairr your solution is exactly what I meant should happen although maybe it does not need to be so formal.
I think the colour coding thing is a brilliant idea for the soloer problem.
As for you Norcott technically all of this needs multiple set of practices it is so diverse that it requires different solutions because the problem is not the same. Adding for a soloer is not technically the same as adding for a FG. There is therefore a complexity here that needs to be recognised before we can find the right candidate for a solution.
You can have free for alls and leave a lot fo the game space undefined we could also request for people who what people to help them to maybe wear a blue cloak and those who don't to wear a black cloak....
Only some solutions will be found to work others will fail badly. The point is so long as we are focussed on working the solutions to problems we are working together rather than being derogatory and destructive.
However so long as people just whine without trying to construct inclusive (rather than the current exclusive rules) guides there will never be a solution. You can decide to try to be part of the solution or remain outside of that. This is why the adding thing is so interesting from a community perspective.
Another thing. Even if a guide was generated and people worked with it. There would always be issues and problems if however they could try to work those out it would be much better because people would work through them. The situation at the moment is just terrible.
