i dont like the fact most of the best threads in thr past have been moved to the spam section. All we have left here is bloody ML raid posts or whatever. not very fun to read.

So what your saying is that you can't read posts if they are in the SPAM section?

Its hard to find a good balance between moderating and "over the top moderating". What is offensive to one, doesnt mean it has to be offensive to a other, but where to draw the line?. Imo the ML rush post of Rowenna for example was shut down to early. Everybody has the right to tell what they think and feel about a topic as long they are not personal insults.

Whatever they will do it will never be good for everyone. So give them some slack ok.

becuase its saying that any good points raised or nice arguments occuring are simply put down as Spam without a second thought. Why not have a seperate section for ML raids or arti signups or whatever?

and imo for some ppl a silly tread is spam, for other ppl its intresting, its hard to draw the line

we have been discussing the moving of threads etc into spam section. From now on as long as people dont go bonkers with the thread and it is on daoc topic (making a thread to say hi to someone ISNT on daoc topic!) it will be left in the forum.
Ive been closing the old raids as people seem to not notice the dates so thats to prevent confusion.
And i have been deleting the posts on the stickys marely to help the raid leaders see which posts are informative in the middle of alot of 'ill be there' spam. ( i have in the past sent the raid leaders before i did this - this time i didnt and i appologise) I spose i should have split the thread insted (like lair has kindly done) but we've had soo many discussions/flames recently on lootraid splits that i didnt think it was needed to have another one - also people had started to get alittle wound up. With 24hrs break peeps have calmed down (myself included) and can regain having a normal conv.

Seriously now: We have 1 old mod here and 2 new ones. Give it some time and it will be ok. Just has to take shape a bit.
