But you're right about one thing, when it comes to time Britain does rule the world. There used to be lots of different time systems until one day the world decided to accept the Greenwich meridian as hour 0 and adjust all the time zones of the world to reflect the 24 hours it takes for the earth to rotate starting at Greenwich and moving eastwards forward one hour at a time.

And, lest we forget, the first Doctor chose to land in London and therefore the Time Lords (before they got blown up) had a lot of interest in Britain. After all, the third Doctor got exiled to Britain and nowhere else.

GMT = UK time

Summer

GMT != BST(gmt +1) = Uk time

I could make it fun and bring in CET and LET
