I totally agree. Bad stuff happens everywhere. I played an online game where theft and general bad behaviour were almost universal. A lot of this was due to the simple fact the game had no trade screen, so in deals one person had to hand their stuff and just hope the other guy stuck to the deal and didn't just laugh and run off. Serious insults were a compulsory part of PVP. The game also got targetted by a few guys with likings for sharing extremely sick porn fantasy with the community, and a willingness to buy an endless series of new accounts when the old ones got banned.
So in that game bad stuff was at a very high level and as a result, I reckon about 90% of players stayed less than two months. Oddly enough I'm a softy and lasted about 18 months I think, and left for reasons to do with the game not the aggro.
Still, my point is, most people will stay around longer if its more fun and less aggro.

That's pretty sad after 4 years i still see people wanting to force other ppl way of playing the game and to add injury over even insulting em. If it was hard to get a good fg vs fg fight in OF it's even harder in NF due to "packaging" of action (Frontiers too wide so every1 converging in 1 zone). If peeps wants fair fights nothing stop em to name a remote zone and go play 8 vs 8 in a remote angle of the world (stop using IRC only to insult each other
), if they don't want to it's only cause they are all well happy to "farm" randoms but they want their "fair" fights in between, u know u can't have it all .... flame me all u want, but it's pretty clear to me that this is how things went, are going and will be

If you have played Counter -strike lately everyoneis offencive and generally horrible people. it used to be fun but through the yars more people took it too seriously and now swear at someone who just joins a server. I am glad im not on a PvP server , they are just as bad.

Oh that SO appeals to my sick and twisted sense of humour

Nice one

There are alot of fine peeps out there and there are some wich want to play theire own rules.
Please note Alex that I said is seems that RvR is becoming more elitist and I cite as my evidence the experience reported in this thread, and the conversations I have had with players who have now left the game.
Let me make one thing very clear - generally my experience of NE alliance RvR activity has been very positive and enjoyable, and I find that if someone does behave like a tit then they are stamped on pretty quickly.
However, notwithstanding this, we cannot ignore that the mood and the community seems to be changing and there is increasing disagreement about play styles. What I find sad is that it increasingly seems that some people have lost the skill of asking people politely not to interfere in their game experience.
Just briefly going back to the Peridas incident on Monday, whilst there was a lot of anger and annoyance expressed over voicecoms about what happened, the actual in-game communication with the person who pulled the mob was polite, restrained and decent.
We don't have to be rude to each other in-game - we can be mature about these things and not behave like social retards. That is the essence of my recent posts - to plead for people to respect each other more.
