I watched a documentary about it last week and it looked as if it could be good fun. So if anyone's been to it, please share your thoughts on the experience. Thanks man!

Has anyone ever been to Glastonbury? No, I don't mean the DAoC server, but the rock festival.

If you've never done a festival it's pretty much got it all.
More chilled than Reading, more stuff to do than V, longer than T in the Park.
Usually got a decent lineup & some of the unknown bands are a real eye opener. Also got stuff you can do with the kids (other than watch music) which most other festivals aren't so hot at - an xBox tent does not count!!!
It's got much weird stuff (though it's all good) to look at & take part in if it takes your fancy & you can broaden your mind (in more ways than one).
Like all festivals it isn't cheap. I spent over £250 last weekend at one on top of the ticket. You can cut your costs by taking food & beer & stuff if you're organised & want to camp properly rather than just throw up a tent to sleep in.

Those that can't lead follow.
Those that can lead should admit when they're lost.

All what he said. And it's not necessarily muddy, either.

When it's muddy people just have a laugh. You get a strange mentality at Glastonbury when it's wet - kind of 'everyone there against the world, fighting to have a good time whatever is thrown at you'.ambera wrote:All what he said. And it's not necessarily muddy, either.
When it's hot then you just get to have a good time (though the bar queues expand exponentially & the toilets need to be given an extra wide berth).

I haven't been when it's muddy, but it looks like grand fun.
