Maybe I am weird, but I dont understand what this will do to DAoC
unelss they decide to pull people from the DAoC staff over to WAR.

Awful news tbh.
It's no coincidence that since EA absorbed almost every game dev. house out there innovation has been stifled and games have got generic and boring. Countless sets of fantastic IP has been destroyed and wasted by EA take overs, e.g. the C&C series
EA is extremely bad for the industry.

I could not agree more C&C is a really good case in point they totally destroyed that series. I simply can't think of worse news than this - I can understand Mythic but even so this is nothing short of a disaster for DAOC.
EA buys into Mythic..

on the up side however they do overwork their dev peons horribly and turn out games quick (bugged normally) so Warhammer would come out quicker than peeps expect
Next daoc patch
if you dont pick up loot then your char could have the possibility to die by flies.
Also there is the chance a satalite could drop out of the sky and kill them
