I have some sypathy with you here Pikeh as it seems to me that there are two types of people playing this game. One set wants fun and wants masses of rps to gain a higher RR status, to become more powerful, to win more fights and gain even more rps. The other also wants fun but is prepared to gain their rps slower and is not to upset by gaining 800 or 8,000 on a run out. I am sure both sets want rps and I am sure both sets want to have fun.
The issue several people, including me, are trying to raise is that in RvR you need to think and act quickly. For some of the less experienced peeps this is crucial if you are to have any chance of winning the fight. That means we do not always have a chance to stop, work out the numbers, work out if the hibby group who is already there is winning or losing and then decide if we should add or not.
Some, a few, may add to 'leech'. I have not many any of these types of people yet, but there may be some out there. How you recognise a leecher from an innocent person who is simply out for RvR and knows no better I am not sure.
Adding will remain in the game, albs do it, mids do it and we do it. I think Peat and Briannon are right - it is how we deal with it and react to it that is the issue.
