Dunno why, but even though this game has excellent graphics and a nice book as background story - I hear warning bells when ever I think of it. I have a feeling this game might turn out to be a really worthless mmorpg.

I think the background story is the problem. I am a huge LotR fan, but I think whatever they do with the MMORPG it will not live up to the book. I will certainly give it a go, if not at release, then when the free trial comes out. I have to agree though I have a strong feeling it will disappoint.

Yeah, that might be it..and also, it will contain 100000 billions of variations of the heroes from the books..so it will proberbly have a rather lame feeling when every second person you pass have names like Aragoorn, Aagorn, Gindelf, Gandelf etc etc

Abit yes - only difference is that they can become MORE like their "heroes" in LoTR
I think we will see like 20 billion hobbits on their way to mount doom.

think you've got that in every game tho, some ppl dont have the inspiration to find a nice name or to roleplay a bit with their chars.
The game looks very nice but just like Ankh i dont have a good feeling about it.

Won't see any hobbits heading for mount Doom, simply cos it's impossible, they didn't put mount Doom in the game
I'll probably keep an eye on this one, could turn out to be quite good. Only problem at the moment is the crappyness of my computer/laptop. Looking at the graphics i don't think it'll be able to pull it off
