Been waiting for WAR for ages but now it's been put back and I was playing WoW but recently went back to daoc my subs have now run out and I'm toying with the idea of grabbing a copy of lotr when I go into town and give it a test see how it is.

What are your experiances so far?

Really really really really really like it :)

Go for it!!! :o There is never any pressure, fantastic community, really helpful nice guys around always, feels so adventurous (especially as you are plunged in the middle of the Tolkein book) and everything is more detailed, beautiful and enjoyable really... :) There are no 'musts' like ToA, level 50, Alch, SC, etc, you just play however you like with the freedom (there are nice items of course but no generic must haves, like Dark Age before SI) everyone looks really different and has their own stories, people respect each other no matter how new they are or anything. Its so nice.

I have only been in the game for a day, but so far its quite an experience. I would say go for it if you can spare the money :)

Yes playing it for one straight night sofar and I´m just waiting for the next session. Most of it reminds of WoW, but there are lots of small extras that really makes alot of differance. Deeds, exploration and the generall feel of a really alive world.

Will see how it plays out once I am out of the "starter zone", well I am out of the 1st "tutorial zone" but I mean the next one :P

Personalized instances with commentary speach is really nice aswell.

And NEVER forget the amazing ingame musical instrument thingy where you play the instrument in realtime on your keyboard! It's quite amazing.

edit : When I say "reminds of wow" I am only just talking about similar UI in certain things, other then that it's not the same. :)

There have been a few login problems lately, but it's still early days atm. Apart from that it's brilliant. I love the ultra-high res graphics.

Ultra high-res graphics? You mean it can be played in a high resolution? Wow, why have no other developers ever done this! :p
