A sign of how easy it is to get online nowadays - my technophobe mother sent me an email the other day. I'm honestly surprised she managed to turn on the computer without having a panic attack.

Now I'm just waiting in dread for the day she starts forwarding me spam. :(

In DAoC, you could (if you were lucky) join a group, bind, port to one of the BGs and be involved in PVP in under 10 minutes. I wouldn't be surprised. I personally dislike EVE, it attracts a particularly hardcore sort of nerd. Also, the travel is the biggest timesink I have ever seen in a game. You can spend two hours hopping across the universe, only to get podded two jumps from your destination... and then have to do it ...
