Pirates of the Burning Seas is due to be released later this month. I'm going to give it a try, as are a couple of other old Iron Wolves, I think.
Anyone else interested? Might be worth trying to get old pryders onto the same server.

I miss loads of people. All of the Iron Wolves, obviously, but also Hib/Pryd in general. Recently, I must say I have wondered about some people in particular, including: Rainbow & Tig Hedind Cuthalion (can't remember his main name) Toxly Lamberrt Also, many people from the original animist kinda sub...

The PvE side of LotRO is naturally very similar to WoW. Quest-based play is all the rage with game designers. It's kinda fun, but isn't keeping me all that engaged. Although the repetitiveness of DAoC hunting bored my senseless, it did create a good space for the social side of grouping, which quest...

Saw a bloke called Thandruil on Executus and made me wonder you know, so thought I would start this thread.

Sad to see you leave DAoC, Beli, even though I left a while ago now. I still clearly remember the day Isletha mentioned he might know someone who would fit the Wolves and then we met up in Volcanus to have our first bit of fun of many, many fun times. Almost all the people in Iron Wolves were amazin...

You get used to any style after a while. They are all different. I've never really had a problem with WoW's style. It is cartoony, but then some of you may remember that when DAoC was first released, its graphics were criticised as being cartoony too. I always wonder whether the WoW style of graphic...

I hope the next big RvR game relies more on tactics again (like OLD RvR) than IWIN! buttons (like NF PvP). I heartily agree, although I think the old game had limited tactics but the slightly slower pace of combat gave more time for non-button-mashing components of the fight (like manouvring and co...
